Business Development Manager – Pet Industry

About the role

This is a field‑based Business Development Manager position within a fast‑growing pet wholesale business. You will work closely with the founder and leadership team, travelling regularly to the Oxfordshire headquarters while managing a portfolio of independent retailers across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop existing independent retail accounts.
• Reactivate dormant customers and open new stockist relationships.
• Increase product distribution across your territory.
• Build strong retailer partnerships and deliver product training where required.
• Provide market feedback, commercial insight and ideas to support wider business growth.

Required profile

• Previous field sales experience within the pet industry.
• Proven ability to generate new business and increase account spend.
• Strong commercial mindset with a focus on market share growth.
• Comfortable working autonomously and influencing senior leadership.
