Business Development Manager – Training Services

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive commercial growth for the Training Division of VacancyCR Civil Engineering. Based in Ripley, the role blends business development, consultative sales and key‑account management to deliver construction and plant training solutions that meet client operational and compliance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new training opportunities with contractors, plant hire firms and civil‑engineering organisations.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with key client accounts, conducting regular review meetings and understanding workforce development plans.
• Collaborate with internal Group companies to uncover training needs, promote the full service portfolio and maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority and support larger tender submissions.
• Work closely with the Lead Trainer and Training Coordinator to ensure training resources align with customer demand.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the construction training sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction, plant training, vocational qualifications and workforce competence.
• Experience managing key accounts and delivering consultative sales solutions.
• Ability to develop pipelines, produce proposals and support tender processes.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
