Business Intelligence Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join a well‑established international technology business. The role will focus on building and maintaining robust data pipelines, optimising data processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Build and optimise data models to support reporting, analytics and performance tracking.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, governance and quality within the BI environment.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of reporting and analytics platforms.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, data processes and architecture standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or in a Data & Analytics role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric).
• Experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills working with large, complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Python for data processing, automation or analytics.
• Solid understanding of data‑warehousing principles and reporting best practices.
• Experience integrating data from multiple business‑critical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
