Business-to-Business Sales Manager – Life Sciences

About the role

The Business-to-Business Sales Manager will drive new client acquisition and account development for a specialist recruitment brand operating in the Life Sciences market. Based in Colchester with free parking, you will work Monday‑Friday in an office environment while also travelling internationally to attend trade shows and meet prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Life Sciences sector across the UK, USA and Europe.
• Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting and cold‑calling to relationship building and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with a small, high‑impact consultant team and utilise internal technology systems to support intake and delivery.
• Contribute to the rebuilding and scaling of the consultant‑led revenue model by refining processes and workflows.
• Participate in personal and professional development initiatives, both in‑office and external training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in life sciences consulting, recruitment or business development.
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of generating new clients.
• Confident phone‑based, relationship‑driven sales approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable: International market exposure (USA and/or Europe) and background in B2B sales or account management within life sciences.
