Buyer – FMCG/Food Category Manager

About the role
The Buyer will manage food and FMCG categories for a leading UK retail organisation, leading supplier negotiations and delivering category and promotional plans to drive margin, income and product availability nationwide.
Key responsibilities
- Lead national supplier negotiations across assigned food/FMCG categories.
- Develop and implement category and promotional plans.
- Manage cost price increases and protect margin.
- Forecast and deliver supplier income.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to agree ranges and availability.
- Analyse data to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
Required profile
- Experience in a trading, buying or category management role.
- Proven supplier negotiation experience within UK food or FMCG.
- Strong commercial and analytical abilities.
- Confidence managing multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Food or FMCG experience preferred.
- Ability to commute to Harrow.
