Buyer – Own Brand Womenswear (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We’re looking for a talented Buyer to join our Own Brand Fashion team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role offers the chance to shape, develop and grow our own‑brand proposition, delivering trend‑led, commercially successful ranges that resonate with Very customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own category performance by analysing weekly and monthly trading data, identifying opportunities, mitigating risks and advising senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Collaborate with Marketing to deliver compelling campaigns, product launches and paid media activity that drive awareness and conversion.
• Monitor market trends, customer behaviours and competitor activity, using insights to influence category direction and unlock growth opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, creating an environment where people can perform at their best and grow their careers.

Required profile

• Commercially driven buyer with strong fashion experience and a passion for delivering outstanding results.
• Proven supplier relationship management skills and strong product/category knowledge.
• Experience developing and trading own‑label ranges.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, delivering strong commercial outcomes.
• Ability to analyse performance data, turn insights into action and lead high‑performing teams.
