Supermarket Assistant Team Leader

About the role

As a Team Leader in a Waitrose shop, you will help deliver a partner‑led service that sets the brand apart, driving customer loyalty while supporting sales and profit growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support shop management with managerial tasks and collaborate across all areas to meet customer demand.
• Ensure partners work safely and legally, and maintain a tidy, safe working environment.
• Fulfil online orders for delivery, manage Click & Collect, and support checkout when needed.
• Replenish stock, keep shelves full and products correctly placed, and reduce waste through proper markdowns.
• Drive commercial performance by suggesting continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Strong people and leadership abilities.
• Good understanding of retail operations and commercial success.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role with stakeholder management skills.

• Hourly rate of £14.58, plus night premium of £3.75 for shifts between 22:00‑06:00.
