Buyer – Procurement & Purchase Order Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will manage purchase orders and procurement activities across multiple projects, acting as the main liaison between office and site teams to ensure best value, timely delivery and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review requisitions from site and design teams for various projects.
• Source best‑value products and materials that meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Raise and manage purchase orders using internal procurement systems, allocating them to the correct job numbers and cost codes.
• Coordinate with site teams and suppliers to schedule deliveries and maintain up‑to‑date delivery calendars.
• Receive, upload and review supplier invoices, allocating costs to the appropriate jobs and cost categories.
• Support accurate cost tracking and reporting across projects.
• Assist Operations Managers with inventory management, stock control and day‑to‑day procurement of office and site items.
• Maintain master job number trackers, project folders, supplier databases and procurement records.
• Uphold high standards of quality, professionalism and sustainability in all procurement activities.
