Buying Admin Assistant – Knitwear Focus

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised Buying Admin Assistant to support our knitwear buying team. The role involves managing purchase orders, coordinating samples and assisting with pre‑production processes, working closely with suppliers, internal departments and an intern.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and amend purchase orders, ensuring all size, cost and barcode information is accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Maintain daily barcode sheets and distribute weekly updates to the Trimco team.
• Oversee sample tracking, preparation for proto meetings, fit sessions and bulk sample pulls.
• Manage sample housekeeping, archiving, and preparation for sample sales.
• Create and maintain press and photo sample trackers, logging all requests and returns.
• Support pre‑production activities, including preparing contact sheets, sending intake board PDFs to the shoot team and packing samples for off‑site shoots.
• Enter product information such as web measurements, wash care and composition into launch documents.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams and junior staff.
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced fashion environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
