Café Manager

About the role

Tesco is looking for an enthusiastic Café Manager to lead one of its welcoming cafés in Maldon. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while overseeing daily operations and supporting a friendly team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall running of the café, including routines, processes and sales standards.
• Recruit, train, develop and motivate café staff.
• Ensure the café environment is clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase sales and operational efficiency.
• Maintain inventory, ordering and stock control.
• Monitor financial performance and report on key metrics.

Required profile

• Proven people‑management experience at supervisory level or above in hospitality.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop a diverse team.
• Flexibility to adapt leadership style to different situations.
• Minimum age of 18.
