Care Manager (Nurse Qualified) – Up to £62,752

About the role

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a qualified Nurse to lead the clinical team at Okeley Care Home in Chelmsford. As Care Manager you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care for 84 residents across five care suites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical oversight to nursing and care staff.
• Coordinate and coach staff to maintain and improve quality standards and clinical outcomes.
• Monitor, record and measure clinical performance against CQC regulations.
• Support team wellbeing and job satisfaction to enhance resident care.
• Share on‑call management duties during evenings and weekends alongside the Home Manager.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active PIN.
• Proven experience in a nursing or care‑home setting for older adults.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and retain high‑performing teams.
