Catering Manager

About the role

GLL is seeking a motivated Catering Manager to lead the catering operations at the National Squash and Regional Arena in Manchester. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality food services, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the mobilisation of new catering offerings for the arena.
• Monitor performance against budgets and key performance indicators.
• Manage ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
• Train, develop and support catering staff, including recruitment of key roles.
• Stay informed on competitor products and industry trends.
• Report to senior managers and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Support café team operations and contribute to strategic product development.

Required profile

• Prior experience working within the catering or food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of catering KPIs and their application for improvement.
• Up‑to‑date awareness of industry developments and health & safety policies.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources and staff effectively.
