Chief Financial Officer – Fast‑Growing Tech Business

About the role

Harper May Ltd is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, venture‑backed technology business in London. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will act as a strategic business partner and drive financial strategy, planning and governance as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy and long‑term planning of the business
• Build and manage a high‑performing finance function as the company scales
• Own financial planning, forecasting and management reporting
• Partner with the CEO and board on strategic and commercial decisions
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting
• Manage cash flow, capital allocation and investor relationships
• Support future funding rounds and corporate development activity
• Provide clear financial insight to guide growth and profitability

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally as a CFO or Finance Director
• Proven track record of scaling finance functions in high‑growth businesses
• Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking
• Experience of fundraising, investor relations or corporate development
• Confident leader able to operate at board level
