Child Care Lawyer – In‑House Legal Team (Hybrid)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established in‑house legal team supporting a large public‑sector organisation. The role is hybrid, offering a balance of office and remote work while you provide strategic legal advice on complex, high‑profile matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior stakeholders on legal, governance and policy issues.
• Manage a diverse caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Draft and review legal documents, reports and advice.
• Represent clients in courts and tribunals where appropriate.
• Support organisational projects and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
• Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of junior colleagues and team objectives.

Required profile

• A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx with a current practising certificate.
• Experience providing legal advice within a complex organisational environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and a busy caseload independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance legal risk with practical solutions.
