Civils Designer (3D)

About the role

Amentum, the design and engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners) arrangement, is recruiting a Civils Designer. The project covers enabling works for a treatment facility for SIXEP and SCP secondary waste, including service diversions, drainage schemes, earthworks, vehicle tracking, road layouts and new connections to existing infrastructure. The role involves BIM modelling and detailed civil drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex 3D surfaces using points, breaklines and boundaries.
• Develop intelligent 3D roadway models using alignments, profiles and custom assemblies.
• Produce and review GA and detail drawings in a BIM environment using Revit and Autodesk Design Review.
• Detail below-ground drainage and services, groundworks, steelwork and reinforced concrete.
• Check modelling and drawing output.

Required profile

• Civil or structural engineering qualification.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit and Autodesk Design Review.
• Vehicle tracking software.
• Understanding of layering standards, plot styles (CTB/STB), object management and label style customization.
• Knowledge of British and European standards and building regulations.
