Civils Operative – Telecom Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civils Operative to join our Birmingham (Coleshill) team, delivering telecoms infrastructure projects across the region. You will work on‑site, supporting build and reinstatement stages while ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality and environmental standards on all sites.
• Prepare equipment, materials and site arrangements before work starts, including early starts.
• Carry out daily risk assessments and follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Perform blockage clearance and reinstatement works as required.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver consistent, high‑quality results.

Required profile

• NRSWA Units: LA and 01 SA006 certification.
• Proven experience in groundworks and civils operations, preferably in telecoms or utilities.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Minimum age of 25 years (vehicle insurance requirement).
• Willingness to undergo criminal records check and regular drug/alcohol testing.
