Claims Handler – Fixed Term (12 months)

About the role

Davies is seeking an experienced Claims Handler for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Glasgow. You will join the Casualty team to deliver proactive claims handling for major clients, with full training and support provided.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders and brokers to manage claim communications.
• Investigate allocated claims, arranging field adjusters for on‑site investigations when required.
• Gather evidence and documentation, prepare detailed reports and advise on policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits and maintain proactive professional correspondence.
• Manage reserves, ensure adherence to documented procedures and client requirements, and continuously update technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Proficiency in managing claims from inception to resolution.
• Experience with property and liability claim investigations.
• Knowledge of injury claim valuation and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and ability to manage a personal caseload.
• Adaptable, versatile team player with strong communication abilities.
