Class 1 Driver – Full‑time Logistics Role

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to join its delivery team in Blackburn. This permanent, full‑time position involves transporting high‑value consignments for an aerospace customer across the UK and occasionally Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver small to large high‑value consignments, adhering to special handling requirements.
• Perform inter‑site and intra‑site deliveries across the North West, with occasional nationwide or international trips.
• Work as part of a double‑manned driving team when required.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and meet delivery expectations.
• Complete and return all required documentation at the end of each shift.
• Comply with driving hours regulations, legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 licence with full DCPC qualification.
• In‑date passport.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends and international assignments in line with WTD and EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations.
• No more than six current penalty points and no recent disqualifying endorsements.
