Class 1 LGV Driver – Full‑time, Competitive Pay

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 LGV driver with ADR qualifications to join our team at the Gretna depot, working full‑time Monday‑to‑Friday days.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 LGV to transport goods, including ADR loads.
• Comply with all driver transport legislation and safety standards.
• Perform tanker deliveries where required.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records.

Required profile

• Valid LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Tachograph card.
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid ADR licence covering all classes except 1 & 7.
• Strong understanding of driver transport legislation and a safety focus.
• Minimum two years’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles (tanker experience preferred).

What we offer

• £14.27 per hour base rate.
• Overtime £21.41 after 8 hours per shift (Mon‑Fri).
• Night‑out rate £40.06 per hour.
• Saturday rate £20.78 for the first 5 hours, then £28.54 thereafter.
• Sunday and Bank Holiday rate £28.54 per hour plus standard holiday pay.
• 45‑hour weekly guarantee (9 hours per day).
• Fully paid breaks, ADR & CPC refresher training, and paid CPC courses.
