Class 1 Shunter/Driver – Part‑time

About the role

This part‑time Class 1 Shunter/Driver role offers 20‑30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at Booker’s Thamesmead site. You will operate air‑conditioned shunter vehicles, enjoy a paid 30‑minute break, and receive fully funded CPC training.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 shunter vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver goods to customers, handling manual loading/unloading when required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date Driver CPC certification and vehicle records.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Provide flexible shift coverage based on driver preference.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 licence holder.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling and work in adverse weather.
• Willingness to work part‑time hours (20‑30 hrs/week) on site.
