About the role
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Sudbury is seeking a Class Teacher for a Key Stage 2 class. You will deliver a knowledge‑rich primary curriculum that promotes inclusion, diversity and excellence while upholding the school’s Catholic ethos.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Collaborate with the federation of two primary schools on shared planning and assessment.
- Support pupils’ wellbeing, inclusion and progress.
- Engage positively with parents and the wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher (early career teachers are welcome).
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and safeguarding of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a federation.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Effective lesson planning and assessment skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
