Classroom Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role
The school in Devizes is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support pupils during the school day. You will work alongside the class teacher, helping to deliver engaging lessons and create a safe, inclusive learning environment. This role offers both full‑time and part‑time options on a term‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to reinforce learning.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Promote positive behaviour and help maintain classroom routines.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for all pupils.
Required profile
- Friendly, patient and enthusiastic.
- Passionate about supporting children’s education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to learning support.
- Experience with children is desirable but not essential; backgrounds in education, childcare, youth work, coaching, care or customer‑facing roles are welcomed.
