Client Manager – Accountancy

About the role

Our client is a fast‑growing accountancy practice that blends traditional values with modern service delivery. They are seeking an experienced Client Manager to lead a small team, manage a portfolio of small‑business clients and deliver high‑quality accounting and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit statutory accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of accountants, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through regular communication and proactive advice.
• Provide tax planning, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting and pricing guidance.
• Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS where required.
• Conduct year‑end client meetings, fee reviews and liaise with HMRC and Companies House.
• Deliver training on bookkeeping or accounting to clients as needed.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage a varied client portfolio and lead junior staff.
• Strong communication and client‑service orientation.
