Client Relationship Manager – DB Pensions

About the role

This position is focused on managing an established portfolio of Defined Benefit (DB) pension clients. You will act as a trusted partner, providing strategic oversight and guidance on funding, investment, and long‑term objectives within a rapidly evolving provider environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing DB client portfolio.
• Deliver relationship management and strategic advice, not business development.
• Support schemes in navigating funding strategies, investment decisions, and end‑game planning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to new market propositions.
• Maintain a client‑centric approach without billable hours or revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Defined Benefit pension funding and investment.
• Background in consultancy or a professional trustee firm.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a desire for a more focused, structured role.
• Ability to work independently while delivering technical depth.
