Commercial Account Handler

About the role

Join a growing commercial insurance brokerage that supports a varied portfolio of business clients across multiple sectors. You will be responsible for managing commercial insurance accounts, handling day‑to‑day enquiries and ensuring clients have appropriate cover for their risk profile.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients and handle day‑to‑day enquiries.
• Process mid‑term adjustments, policy documentation and renewals.
• Obtain, review and compare quotations from insurers and negotiate terms.
• Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive solutions.
• Support claims notifications and assist with claim progression.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve cover or enhance policy terms.
• Provide administrative and account‑management support to the wider team.

Required profile

• Previous experience within commercial insurance or an insurance brokerage environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy administration.
• Experience managing renewals from information gathering to presenting options.
• Excellent customer service and account‑management abilities.
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and strong numerical/analytical skills.
• Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive and professional approach to client service.
