Commercial Property Claims Technician

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Commercial Property Claims Technician in Leeds for a permanent, desk-based position. The Claims Technician acts as a technical assistant to the Loss Adjuster, supporting customers, suppliers, insurers and brokers through the handling of claims. The role is hybrid and offers a competitive salary depending on skills, experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Triage new claims and arrange the initial Loss Adjuster visit
• Act as a contact point for customers and suppliers
• Manage claims, information and supplier projects
• Help control costs and payments
• Deliver high technical quality while keeping customer experience in mind

Required profile

• Previous experience in a claims environment is essential
• Experience managing claims across multiple clients
• Dedication to working towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements
• Self-motivated, disciplined, flexible and open to change
