Operations Manager - Domestic Major Loss, North England

About the role

Sedgwick is looking for an Operations Manager for its Domestic Major Loss team, based across North England. The team handles claims over £100k in value, and each adjuster works alongside a designated adjusting executive as part of a regional team. Claims are allocated by experience and technical ability after being assessed for complexity. The role balances office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the team is equipped to handle the most challenging claims
• Foster a supportive and collaborative environment
• Communicate with and write to policyholders, insurers and contractors, explaining complex details clearly
• Negotiate fair settlements

Required profile

• Excellent claims experience
• Proven management skills and the confidence to lead a high-performing team
• Strong communication skills
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for customer service
