Commis Chef – Fresh Food Kitchen in Stroud

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join an independent pub with rooms in Stroud, currently operating at one Rosette. Working alongside a small, experienced kitchen brigade, you will help deliver comforting British and French dishes using fresh, local, seasonal produce.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef across all kitchen sections.
• Prepare, cook, and present high‑quality dishes consistently.
• Contribute to menu development and presentation.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
• Assist with stock control and kitchen organization.

Required profile

• Genuine enthusiasm for working in this kitchen.
• Drive, passion for cooking and eagerness to learn.
• Desire to contribute ideas to the menu.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Love for seasonal and local produce.
• Team‑player with strong communication skills.
