Communications & Campaigns Officer

About the role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Communications & Campaigns Officer to join our busy communications team at Local London. You will help tell the story of nine fast‑growing London boroughs, promoting our Vision for Growth and engaging a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support communication of the Vision, programmes, policies and stakeholder offers, ensuring key audiences are informed and engaged.
• Develop, own and drive imaginative communications activities and campaigns across a politically complex public‑sector environment.
• Deliver day‑to‑day social media and digital communications, generating high engagement for sub‑regional plans.
• Commission external suppliers and assist with communications budget management.
• Act as a brand ambassador, understanding programme requirements and representing Local London.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating, delivering and evaluating successful content and campaigns across multiple channels.
• Excellent proofreading, formatting and editing abilities.
• Strong organisational skills, able to meet deadlines and juggle several projects.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with colleagues across different teams and partner organisations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and willingness to develop further.
• Understanding of local government or political environments is a plus.
• Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel in London.
