Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Community Manager to drive growth for Pet Database’s rescue partners and build vibrant online and offline communities. You will combine outreach, social media stewardship and influencer collaborations to attract rescue organisations, pet owners and creators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rescue organisation outreach and lead generation across Facebook groups, DMs, email and cold outreach; manage the pipeline from first contact to onboarding.
• Design, implement and monitor rescue growth initiatives, tracking performance and optimising tactics.
• Maintain daily community interaction on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, responding to comments, messages and reviews in brand voice.
• Grow presence in Facebook rescue and local community groups; create reactive stories and explore Reddit engagement.
• Identify, negotiate and manage relationships with pet and lifestyle influencers on Instagram and TikTok, handling gifting, affiliate and paid collaborations.
• Track influencer campaign metrics and report insights.
• Represent Pet Database at events such as dog shows and animal‑welfare fundraisers, generating new partnerships and real‑world community engagement.
• Collaborate with the Digital Content Creator to turn community moments into content.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community management, social media or partnership roles with measurable engagement growth.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach and build relationships at scale, from cold DMs to long‑term collaborations.
• Excellent written communication skills for handling high‑volume brand conversations.
• Organised, data‑aware mindset with experience tracking pipelines and community KPIs.
• Self‑starter who proactively seeks new ways to attract customers and rescue partners.
