Community Rehabilitation Specialist Dietitian (B6) – Part‑time

About the role

The Community Rehabilitation and Reablement Service in East Renfrewshire seeks a Specialist Dietitian to join a multidisciplinary team delivering home‑based rehabilitation. Working from Eastwood Health and Care Centre, you will provide expert nutritional assessment and intervention for patients with complex health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive dietetic assessments, including biochemical data, anthropometric measurements and nutritional screening tools.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans for adults across neurology, orthopaedics, medicine and elderly care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech‑language therapists, nurses and social workers to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide autonomous decision‑making on dietetic interventions and support discharge planning.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in dietetics and registration with the Health Professions Council.
• Significant postgraduate experience, preferably at senior level.
• Experience in adult rehabilitation, neurology, orthopaedics, medicine or care of the elderly is advantageous.
• Full, valid driving licence for community visits.
