Complex Injury Assistant Lawyer (Associate Level)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our Complex Injury Claims Team as an Assistant Lawyer at associate level. You will work on high‑value, multi‑track and catastrophic injury claims for public sector and corporate clients, supporting a Lead Lawyer throughout the case lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a Lead Lawyer with a caseload of complex, high‑value injury claims, including employers’ liability, public liability and motor claims.
• Review and analyse medical, liability and quantum evidence to identify key issues and gaps.
• Prepare chronologies, review records and coordinate medical expert instructions.
• Draft clear advice on indemnity, liability, quantum, causation and case strategy.
• Liaise with insurer clients, insured parties, witnesses and other stakeholders.
• Interview witnesses, draft witness statements and pleadings.
• Attend conferences, mediations, settlement meetings and court hearings, both remotely and in person.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or trainee solicitor with experience in complex injury litigation.
• Strong analytical ability to assess medical and legal evidence.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting advice and pleadings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
