Compliance Manager – Advisory

About the role

The Compliance Manager (Advisory) will support the Head of Compliance & MLRO in a leading UK asset management firm. Based in central Leeds, the role provides regulatory challenge, advice and oversight across the firm’s advisory activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical compliance advisory support across FCA regulatory requirements, including COBS, SYSC, COLL, FUND, AIFMD and CASS.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the first line, delivering timely, commercially‑focused regulatory guidance on business activities and change initiatives.
• Support regulatory input into new products, fund launches, strategic initiatives and business change programmes, ensuring risks are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and interpret UK regulatory developments, assess business impact and communicate changes to key stakeholders.
• Prepare high‑quality compliance reports and papers for senior management, governance forums and Board committees.
• Design and deliver compliance training to promote regulatory awareness and strengthen the firm’s compliance culture.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators, auditors, depositaries and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering regulatory compliance and conduct advice within an investment management or equivalent environment.
• Experience in a management role overseeing effective compliance and conduct‑related control frameworks at a regulated investment manager or asset owner.
• Strong awareness of regulatory, conduct, financial crime and market abuse issues and their impact on financial services companies.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of FCA regulations, including COBS, SYSC, COLL, FUND, AIFMD and CASS.
• Understanding of financial crime, market abuse and conduct risk frameworks.
