Compliance Officer – Disclosure of Interest (Associate)

About the role

Join the EMEA Disclosure of Interest team at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London. As a Compliance Officer – Associate you will support the firm’s regulatory disclosure obligations across the EMEA region, working closely with compliance partners and business units on time‑sensitive disclosures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and disclose positions and trades in line with takeover, short‑selling and major shareholding regulations.
• Represent Controls and Quality Assurance at regional management meetings.
• Liaise with the Control Room and Line‑of‑Business compliance teams to manage trading restrictions, approvals and potential breaches.
• Prevent breaches of ownership thresholds and ensure compliance with sector‑specific notification obligations (e.g., energy companies in Spain, strategic enterprises in Russia).
• Respond to internal and regulator queries, perform position searches and advise on disclosure requirements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory changes affecting disclosure rules and act as a primary contact for financial regulators.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments, including equity derivatives.
• Self‑starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong multitasking ability and capacity to meet tight deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
• Results‑oriented team player with a proven track record of delivering tasks accurately and quickly.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make autonomous decisions.
