Configuration Controller – Rail Infrastructure (Hybrid)

About the role

The Configuration Controller will sit at the heart of a high‑speed rail infrastructure programme, ensuring that every technical change is governed through a rigorous process. You will act as the central hub for Technical Change Requests and Technical Authority Communications, driving consistency and traceability across multiple contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Register, check, coordinate and track Technical Change Requests from initiation to board approval and implementation.
• Prepare and compile submission packs, produce weekly progress reports and ensure no items are missed.
• Maintain work instructions, training material and configuration management documentation.
• Provide hands‑on support to Configuration Managers during baseline updates and submissions.
• Liaise daily with engineers, project teams and commercial managers to chase progress, resolve blockers and keep stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a structured change‑control environment within a large, complex programme.
• Strong understanding of configuration management standards and document control processes.
• Ability to manage high‑volume data and work at pace while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to engage across diverse technical and commercial teams.
