Construction Site Manager

About the role

STONNA Limited is seeking an ambitious Construction Site Manager to lead residential refurbishment and construction projects across London and the South East. The role involves day‑to‑day site oversight, ensuring safety, quality and programme delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations from commencement to completion, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
• Monitor construction progress against programme milestones and identify mitigation measures for potential delays.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised site environment; enforce Health & Safety policies, conduct inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety audits.
• Implement and adhere to RAMS, carry out site inspections and report accidents, incidents and near‑misses.
• Conduct quality inspections, manage defects, snagging and de‑snagging processes, and keep quality records.
• Oversee material deliveries, site logistics and participate in weekly progress meetings.
• Assist project managers with labour productivity monitoring and procurement planning to minimise waste and control costs.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, neighbours and local authorities; attend client meetings as required.
• Complete daily site diaries, photographic progress records and weekly progress reports; keep all site documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ UK residential site management experience.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, building regulations and health & safety standards.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under programme pressure.

Required skills

• Implementation of RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
• Site diary and progress reporting.
