Contentious Probate Solicitor

About the role

Join a well‑established private client litigation team in Colchester, supporting a growing disputes department. You will handle a focused caseload of contentious probate and trust matters, working alongside experienced specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inheritance disputes, will challenges and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
• Deal with trust disputes, proprietary estoppel issues and executor/beneficiary conflicts.
• Provide high‑quality client advice and maintain strong communication throughout each case.
• Collaborate with senior solicitors and contribute to knowledge‑sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in contentious probate or related private client litigation.
• Demonstrated interest in building a long‑term career in this specialist area.
• Strong technical ability and excellent client care skills.
• ACTAPS accreditation is welcomed but not essential; support is offered for candidates wishing to obtain it.
