Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence in our busy manufacturing environment using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. The role is based on‑site in Clevedon and will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Lean Six Sigma training and coach employees at all levels.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering with Lean tools such as PFMEA, process capability and line balancing.
• Develop and maintain Lean manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Lead cross‑functional continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Facilitate root‑cause analysis and structured problem‑solving activities.
• Use value‑stream mapping and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to quality, productivity and cost savings.
• Work with leadership to prioritise improvement initiatives and represent the business at continuous improvement meetings.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proven experience leading Lean improvement projects in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical abilities.
• Proactive approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.
