Contracts Manager – Construction & Engineering

About the role

A rapidly expanding business, which has grown its turnover from £14m to £150m in under four years, is recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager in Epsom. The role oversees a diverse portfolio of construction, engineering, maintenance and operational contracts ranging from £100k to £10m+, working closely with the Projects team.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial agreements
• Manage contractual risks
• Ensure contracts are effectively administered from tender stage through to completion
• Work alongside Project Managers to resolve commercial and contractual issues during delivery

Required profile

• Strong background in construction or engineering contracts management, ideally within complex industrial projects
• Proven commercial negotiation skills, including tenders, variations and claims
• Experience managing post-award contracts, change control, commercial risks and contractual obligations
• Ability to manage multiple high-value contracts simultaneously
• Ideal candidates come from construction contracts management, engineering contracts management or project commercial management

Required skills

• Practical experience of NEC4 and IChemE contracts
• Good understanding of contract law and commercial risk
