Corporate Legal Director – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Legal Director to join a leading commercial law firm in Leeds. You will lead high‑value corporate transactions, mentor junior lawyers, and help grow a nationally recognised practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex corporate transactions from instruction to completion, including M&A, private equity, and public takeovers.
• Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, and investment structures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a broad portfolio of corporate clients.
• Deliver efficient matter management while ensuring exceptional client service.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the corporate team.
• Support partners in business development, networking, and client‑relationship growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm on multidisciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law.
• Proven track record handling high‑value M&A, private‑equity, and corporate restructuring deals.
• Strong client‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers.
• Commercially minded with a focus on business development.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
