Corporate Tax and R&D Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Tax and R&D Manager to join our expanding tax team in Bristol. The role combines corporate tax compliance with the preparation and advisory of R&D tax relief claims, offering a balanced mix of technical work and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and advisory.
• Lead the preparation, review and submission of R&D tax relief claims in line with HMRC guidance.
• Advise clients on R&D legislation, identify qualifying costs and support claim documentation.
• Prepare tax disclosures for financial statements and assist with ad‑hoc tax projects.
• Review tax computations and collaborate with technical specialists as required.
• Support Patent Box claims, with training provided if needed.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification.
• Proven experience preparing R&D tax relief claims and corporation tax computations.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
• Commercially aware, client‑focused with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a track record of delivering projects.
