Corporate Tax Senior – Bristol (flexible)

About the role

Our client’s Corporate Tax team in Bristol is expanding and is looking for a driven Corporate Tax Senior. The role offers the chance to move beyond a compliance‑focused position and develop advisory experience across share schemes, transactions, complex corporate tax and R&D reliefs.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues on assignments including corporation tax computations, returns and advisory projects such as capital allowances, R&D claims, tax due diligence, transactions and corporate restructuring.
• Develop advisory experience through specialist projects in share schemes, transactions, complex corporate tax matters and innovation reliefs.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, providing day‑to‑day support.
• Conduct tax technical research and contribute to broader client projects.
• Manage tax‑related administrative tasks and support business development and marketing activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, HMRC and professional contacts to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Collaborate with audit colleagues on annual tax compliance assignments.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a corporate tax role.
• ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), or part‑qualified with a desire to complete CTA studies.
• Strong technical knowledge and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Good understanding of compliance standards and regulatory requirements for tax and audit.
• Commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships.
• Professional, proactive and client‑focused approach.

What we offer

• Salary £38,000 – £45,000 plus benefits package.
