Cost Engineer – Infrastructure & Major Programs

About the role

We are seeking experienced Cost Engineers to join high‑performing Project Controls teams working on large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, energy and defence programmes. The role involves supporting cost management throughout the full project lifecycle, from budgeting to performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support project cost control and performance reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Monitor project expenditure, identify trends and analyse cost variances.
• Assist with earned value management (EVM) and performance analysis.
• Collaborate closely with planning, commercial and delivery teams.
• Produce clear, accurate reports for stakeholders and senior management.
• Contribute to integrated Project Controls functions across major programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Control or Project Controls within infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, cost reporting and project performance.
• Knowledge of earned value management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capability.
• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
• Use of Project Controls systems and reporting tools.
