Court of Protection Solicitor

About the role

Join a growing Court of Protection team where your legal expertise directly protects vulnerable clients and their assets. This full‑time permanent position offers hybrid working and the chance to lead and develop a specialised department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Deputyship, Property & Affairs, and Trustee matters.
• Advise clients before and after settlement of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
• Prepare and submit Court of Protection applications and attend hearings.
• Support vulnerable clients, families and carers throughout the deputyship process, including home and care‑home visits.
• Prepare annual deputyship accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with independent financial advisers, case managers and other professionals.
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, paralegals and fee earners.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience in Deputyship, Property & Affairs, Personal Injury Trusts or Professional Deputy work.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and provide high‑quality client service.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
