Court of Protection Solicitor – Taunton (Hybrid)

About the role

This established regional law firm in Taunton is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join its growing team. The position offers hybrid working and requires at least one year of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of Property & Affairs matters.
• Handle day-to-day tasks such as managing bank accounts, investments and benefits.
• Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection.
• Liaise with individuals, families, deputies and the Office of the Public Guardian.
• Draft witness statements and court applications.
• Represent clients at Court of Protection hearings.
• Supervise more junior members of the team.

Required profile

• Current experience working on Court of Protection matters.
• Ability to manage your own caseload.
• Qualified solicitor, newly qualified up to five years of experience.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
