Cover Supervisor – Flexible Part‑Time (Northwich & Surrounding)

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to step into schools as Cover Supervisors on a flexible, part‑time basis. You will gain hands‑on classroom experience without the pressure of lesson planning or marking, supporting secondary schools across Northwich and nearby towns.
Key responsibilities
- Lead lessons in the teacher’s absence, following prepared materials.
- Deliver work that has already been set and keep pupils on task.
- Maintain classroom behaviour and engagement throughout the session.
- Complete a brief handover at the end of each lesson.
- Provide no planning or marking – all resources are supplied.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people (e.g., sports coaching, youth work, drama, art, music workshops, summer camps, scouts, outdoor activity instruction).
- Minimum of two months’ experience engaging with children or teenagers.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to obtain a fully enhanced DBS (support available if needed).
