Customer Assistant - Bakery, Exeter

About the role

Sainsbury's is hiring a Customer Assistant for its Alphington Road store in Exeter. The role is part time, permanent and primarily based in the store bakery, with 22.5 hours per week. Shifts are planned within the availability window shown and shared three weeks in advance.

Key responsibilities

• Put customers first with friendly, helpful service
• Help customers wherever needed: filling shelves, picking orders, serving and selling products
• Use digital tools to deliver a good customer experience
• Organise and move stock, keep shelves tidy and present, and move heavy loads to the right place
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to recommend them confidently

Required profile

• Above the school-leaving age; 18 or over if shifts include early morning or late evening hours
• Right to work in the UK
• Friendly, enthusiastic about helping customers and able to thrive in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Team player who is flexible and open to learning new digital tools
