Customer Care Executive – Colchester

About the role

We are seeking an organised, customer‑focused Customer Care Executive to join HBS Group’s Colchester head office. In this full‑time permanent role you will be the first point of contact for schools and other clients, handling calls, emails and web‑chat enquiries, processing orders and ensuring a smooth, positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone calls, emails and web‑chat messages, providing accurate information and support.
• Process orders, quotations and enquiries efficiently.
• Resolve issues, keep customers informed of progress and timelines, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage stock availability, liaise with suppliers and coordinate with the warehouse.
• Support the sales team with sample dispatches and back‑office tasks.
• Conduct outbound contacts to maintain service standards and identify upsell or cross‑sell opportunities.

Required profile

• Confident telephone manner with proven customer‑service experience.
• Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and multitask.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Experience using CRM platforms.
