Customer Care Representative

About the role

Greenergy is seeking a confident and organised Customer Care Representative to join its Manchester office. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling calls, emails and operational queries while processing fuel orders and supporting delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise activity across telephone calls, Fuel Orders inbox, Customer Care inbox and reactive operational tasks.
• Communicate real‑time delivery issues between the Flexigrid operation and customers.
• Process fuel orders received by phone or email and arrange same‑day or next‑day deliveries to avoid stock outages.
• Handle all customer queries promptly and effectively.
• Report, investigate and close high‑level events, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Compile KPI data for internal and external reporting.
• Assist with system set‑up for new customers secured by account management.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and service offering.
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues across Customer Care and other departments.
• Model Greenergy values and perform any other reasonable tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Confidence in handling calls, including challenging conversations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of working independently.
• Flexibility and curiosity to ask questions and develop understanding.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
