Customer Contact Advisor – Housing Services

About the role

We are partnering with a leading housing organisation to find a Customer Contact Advisor on a temporary basis. You will join a fast‑paced call centre delivering front‑line support to residents, handling enquiries by phone, face‑to‑face and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers via telephone, in‑person and online channels.
• Resolve a wide range of housing‑related enquiries, aiming for first‑contact resolution.
• Diagnose issues, raise repair requests, schedule appointments and liaise with contractors.
• Provide advice on tenancy queries, rent accounts and anti‑social behaviour.
• Book appointments for surveyors, housing officers and income officers.
• Accurately record and update customer information in internal systems.
• Follow up complex cases to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Identify vulnerable customers and adapt service delivery accordingly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a contact centre, customer service or front‑line role.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work to targets and manage a busy workload.
• Proactive attitude with ownership of customer enquiries.
• Experience in social housing or a related environment is advantageous.

Required skills

• Competence in using IT systems to record customer data.
